Sigma Receives License and will start production of "Green Lithium"
In a few days, Sigma Lithium will be starting production at its Grota do Cirilo project, located in one of the less developed regions of Minas Gerais, the Jequitinhonha Valley.
The company recently received the Operating License for the largest hard rock lithium project in the Americas, which is expected to produce, starting next July, on a scale of 270,000 tons of battery-grade lithium concentrate per year, putting Brazil on the production route of the so-called critical minerals, essential to enable the energy transition that the world requires to curb climate change.
