Francisco is the B26’ Managing Director for our operations in Asia-Pacific, that are centralized in Singapore, where he is ordinarily resident. He supervises and coordinate the development of the Group business strategy in Asia.
He has been working in the Investment Banking department of Merrill Lynch & Co. in San Francisco, EEUU (2002-2007), venturing on his own since 2007, Francisco was aware of the economic growth of Asia, especially Southeast Asia where he begins his trading activities in 2010.
Francisco has a very extensive experience in the Indonesian coal market, covering the entire value chain -production, coal logistics (transshipment operations), barge and vessel chartering especially for Dry Bulk Vessels (domestic and overseas) procurement (Kalimantan and Sumatra) and trading (domestic and overseas)-.
He has advised several Chinese, South Korean and Thai companies, assisting them in different aspects of the business such as Sourcing Strategy, Cost Reduction Projects, Logistic (Vessels Demurrages Monitoring, Chartering for the Barges, Floating cranes and Stevedoring services), as well as Coal Sales Purchase Contracts and Letters of Credit Compliance.
Francisco holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics and International Business from the University of San Francisco.
